Worth Bragging About

Alright, alright. Scrolling through Facebook feed and see girls going cray over this article. Let me take some time to brag about my man.

Here's the link though. Tada, please click me.

Remember her friends’ names. - Yeah well not a big deal to me though. There are a specific few I'd want him to remember anyway.

Clean up after yourself. - it's enough to know that my man actually cleans up after himself. It wont hurt anyway if YOU (meaning, we, the girls) clean up after him or ourselves too. His place or ours, this goes both ways.

Actually tell her how you feel. - He's actually always honest. Sometimes too honest, yet I appreciate it in heaps. Love you more for it, lovey.

Don’t pressure her into anything. - Dont remember being pressured into anything rather than him always insisting to take me home though I know he's already tired and sleepy and all.

Don’t criticize her food/drink choices. - Yeah well he's free to call me fat because I do feel fat but it's okay because you can take it as a push to work out than a criticism and sulk and get fatter LOL. Plus, he showers me with Kitkat and basically whatever I crave for so fuckyeah I'm the luckiest bitch yo.

Don’t take forever to respond to her text. - Sadly, I'm the one who sometimes takes forever to respond. He only takes forever to respond when he's sleeping. So what should I expect. Lol.

Watch what she wants to watch. - Yeah we've actually recently had this deal wherein we do shifts on who chooses which movie to watch at the cinemas. Other than that - it's not that much of a big deal (but it's a bit HAHAHAHA go watch AHS and I'll let this go hahahaha)

Learn to cook. - My man knows how to cook. Period.

Give her massages. - Ouuu yass.

Take her on a date. - Hehehehehe. I'm always with him. And there was not a day that i didn't feel extra special. Isn't that why women look for a man to take her out on a date? To feel extra special? Plus, with or without your man, you should always dress up and go out whenever you feel like it. Besides, my man wants me to always dress up. He's more feminine than me. Hahahahaha

Whatever you’re getting, get her one too. - Oh he's thoughtful alright. Too thoughtful HUHU. Feeds me. Buys me this and that. I sometimes feel like a spoiled baby. ._. He buys himself gundams, he'd go ask me "what do you want? which one do you want? you want a tank? let's get you a tank." // If we'd meet outside and he's hungry or when he'll drive thru before seeing me, he'd always ask me "I'm getting a burger, what about you, what do you want?" if I don't respond on time though (because I do take forever to respond), he'll go get me something then be like "I got you this instead. Didn't know what you wanted so~"

Give her space. - Hahahaha I think it's he who should be given this =)) I'm unfortunately too clingy. I don't need to ask for space, I have quite enough.

Listen. Just listen. - Don't think he's ever failed at it. Sometimes though, I also believe that there are times we "think" we "just" need someone to listen, but I think there too are times wherein we need a wakeup call - that plus knowing how to comfort you afterwards - he's a definite keeper.

Don’t talk badly about your ex(es). - Well that would depend on how your relationship was. If you trust how well you have treated your man and accept that you too have made mistakes, I don't think what he says about you once the relationships ends should still matter.

Go shopping with her. - Oh damn. He doesn't "just" go shopping with me. He fucking shops for me.

*my divider wont upload idk why anyway*

Can't say "don't mean to brag" because I just said I do wanna brag lololol.

My man does more than 15 little / simple things to make my day and make me feel special. These are just a few of his small gestures. Oh gee wait till you hear more. *blush*

Kk gon sleep now.

The Odd Book

There's this girl. She attends a party. A gathering. When she gets there - she wonders if she's come to the right place. She's unsure. A bit lost. She walks and looks around. She sees a book. It somewhat sparkles - but not literally. It's as if the book draws her closer to it the more she tries her best to figure out where she is rather than be attracted to the book. Nonetheless. She picks it up. Scans through the pages. Reads through it. And unsurprisingly - she takes it home. As time passes by - she figured she's picked up by far the oddest book she's ever come across.

It feels wrong for her to keep the book closer. To take care of it. To sweep off it's dust. To cherish its scent. To carefully understand how well written it was and fully grasp every detail of it. The pages that have been folded. The pencilled notes. The few pages that must have been spilled a few coffee over and then just left for a while to dry out. Under the sun maybe. She's not sure. How the book was once in a library. And the library card had dates. But the names at the back - were a bit smudged. Some names were still readable. And a few hardly noticeable. She wonders if they all felt the same way about the book she so carefully holds.

More than anything else - she's fully aware that she does not own the book. But she also strongly feels that the book has no owner. At all. That the book was its own. But along with all these - she too is fully aware that anytime soon - the book could go and find it's way to someone else.
She decides to take the book. And let it sit some other place and allow it to be found by someone else.

Before she leaves it at an unusual place - she takes out the library card - she doesn't write her name. For the reason she'd rather let her fingerprints alone be left with it. Enough are the hugs she's given it. The many times she's cried over it. Let the stain of her tears be the mark she'd leave. She didn't need the other people who'd come across the book know of her existence. Know
of what they once had. It was enough for her that the book knows.

She slides back the library card. Kisses the book. Leaves it.

How I Get By ♥

Hi! I haven't blogged in ages!! I can't believe it either. HAHAHAHA. Apparently - so much has happened in my life and it kinda upsets me (really) that I haven't really made time for taking down notes of what happened and stuff. Ugh.

Anyway, another reason why I suppose I haven't blogged that much because besides that my hands are full - we didn't have internet for months aaaand - I think I was often busy sharing the details of my life with other people or at times before - with specific someones.

Isn't it a drag to just try to recap what has happened so far? I mean - it has just been 4 months - could I possibly feel exhausted just thinking about what to blog about? A teeny bit, yeah. But this is what I've decided to talk about instead.

Apparently my "love blog" wants to be on hold right now and maybe someday soon I'll talk about that again. But for now - I'd like to talk about my love life with God in particular.

Honestly speaking, it's really through Him that I get by everyday. Of course it's undeniable that I have my family and friends to lean on - but at the end of it all - it's always been Him that I run to. And I'm quite happy with how things are turning up for us lately.

Those who know me would probably have a gag at this post but I suppose those who personally personally know me would take this ... seriously I guess?

Lately, the books I've been reading are more on about Him. It's like I'm always so hungry for more of Him. I'm starting to be more of a woman after God's heart. And by saying that - remind me to get a copy of that book soon. :)

Yay I actually took a little time to take photos of the books just now HAHAHAHA. And then what's funnier is that just when I was about to download them - I decided to edit them UGHHH so arte sorry!! HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Okay here are my books :)

Here's the book I was extremely happy with. It may have taken me months to finish it - but I'm glad that I ever came across this book. I think I bought this in December along with my mom's and the one I got for Nix. This copy in the photo though is my mom's and it's with me because I've yet to wrap it with glass sticker paper hahahahaha and my copy's with my sister. :)
Be The Miracle by Regina Brett
Everytime I read this book (well more often than not) I cry!!!! HAHAHAHA. No matter where I am! I swear. May it be standing or sitting inside the bus, walking inside the mall, waiting in line at the bank - I cry over the things that touch my heart! This book has really been a huge blessing to me. It has taught me so much and has indeed inspired me all the more to strive harder at being a better person/human being. I CAN BE the miracle. I can't really stress out on it much more right now but I might do a book sharing (HAHAHA not a book review) of it when I have my copy back. I highlight btw. Hihi sorry for others who find their books sacred and *untouchable* :)))

Okay next book I got interested in was
God's Not Dead by Rice Brooks
My mama bought this for me. Well actually I asked her to buy it for me HAHAHA. I was browsing through it when she was already about to pay for my Bible and her book - I just couldn't leave the book, you know? It definitely caught my attention and it intrigued me a lot. I knew for sure that my faith in God is so real and steadfast but the problem is - I have to admit that I'm not yet that well in defending Him. I'm afraid to say that there still are times that I am weak in responding to unbelievers and unfaithful ones - yet all I do is continue to pray for them at night and ask God to help them see and SEEK Him and again give me more strength, wisdom, and knowledge to speak more of Him and let Him be someone visible and real to others too. So when I saw this book - I had high hopes that maybe this time the more I learn about Him and see the arguments of unbelievers - then I could probably have a higher shot at APPEARING more firm with my faith because apparently for others what you can't fully defend may seem to them as though you're not that firm with it. I don't know. It's hard to argue and say, really. Believe it or not, even as I read through these pages and read the arguments of atheists - all I often ever ask is "Why? Why do you feel that way? How can you NOT ACKNOWLEDGE HIM???" Etcetera etcetera. I do not question MY faith - I rather question their strong disbelief and at the same time amused that when I come across unbelievers or the arguments of unbelievers - my faith isn't shaken - it just becomes more firm and sure about Him.
Along with the previous book - I finally have an NLT Bible! :) It's Nix who suggested this Bible. Well - most of her passages were taken from an NLT version - and true enough whenever I compare the passages in this one and the one I used to have (and still have, NKJV) are easier to digest. I'm really happy with this one :) I've been trying really hard to be like my mom. To regularly have a prayer time, and regularly read the Bible. I actually even have a Bible reading guide for Catholics. It's the daily gospel, psalm, and reading. I challenge myself to read the entire Bible. I tried to start using the guide within the Bible but I just can't keep up HUHUHUHU but really, I'll try harder. :) Stories are interesting, really. You guys should try it too. :)
A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus by Elizabeth George
I find it a struggle to read things like these on a daily basis - but I try my best. Nonetheless, it has always amused me how even if I skip days - whenever I read what's next - it speaks to me. Like whatever it is I get to read - is like an answer to whatever it is I needed to know or figure out. I often believe it's God's way of communicating with me. Answering me through books - aww love You :* :)

Anyway, this book has been inspiring as well. :) And I really do want to be a woman who reflects the heart of Jesus - it's not easy, really. But it's always good to start trying. :)

I'm happy, really. That it's through these books, and through prayer and quiet time - that I am able to find inner peace. I am able to not want to contact certain people and end up lifting my worries to God.

There've been a lot of times wherein I was so tempted to speak to this guy again - instead, I pause and start praying. I pray for serenity and pray that God take over whatever it is that's bothering me. Like if I am worried about this person's well-being and I wanna know if he's doing fine - I pray to God and trust that He knows best. That I should sit still and do what's right. Keep my distance. And that He'll take care of the rest. And I'm pretty sure that since this person's very special to me and God knows that - He'll take extra care not just because I ask Him to - but because obviously that's part of God's nature. (next time I'll explain how "happy thoughts" has literally become just "happy thoughts" again)

So in relation to this book, in order to fully become a woman who'll reflect Jesus' heart - he was someone I had to give up.
God Is In The Small Stuff by Bruce & Stan

Here's a book that's so straightforward. It speaks in short phrases and everything can easily hit you. I don't know. There's been no page I have flipped that I wasn't stunned by a line or two. Excuse the dirt btw - thank God for booksales.

Furthermore - it has done nothing but bring me closer to God and be that additional reminder that He IS everywhere - all we ever fail at doing is NOTICING more of Him and His grace.
You Are Special by Max Lucado
This book right here? This one is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE. I have always loved children's books. It's one of the sections I will always be in. There's always something deeper than mere photos, drawings, and kiddie sketches - there's something more to it than green eggs and ham and heffalumps. Children's books will always amuse me and make my mind wander to Neverland and appreciate life and the beauty of it. This book - this book I found in a book sale too!! Can you believe it. I saw this one years ago. Bought it years ago too. And whenever I read it - NO FAIL - I cry over it so much. HAHAHAHA. So. Well. Written. No kidding.
Here's my handy dandy notebook. Here's where all my prayers and giving thanks are. Reading past entries in this notebook has always made me smile because I'm happy enough to actually pray for people who you wont normally be friends with. I used to spend so much time writing to a loved one - I regret that it is only now that I really take effort in writing and communicating with God.
Here's another daily read that I've had with me for years now (see and I'm still not done with it HAHAHAHA) Funny coz I'm no longer a teen too hahahahahaha

Thought honestly, I love this book so much. Made me cry so many times too. Hahahahahaha.

And lastly, let me introduce the book that got my God hunger levels the highest -
I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris
This one deserves much more than a book review. This book - this man - has helped God in saving me. Thank you, Nix. Easily one of my favorite reads. Hahahahhahaha. But seriously. Joshua Harris can you please drop by and sign my book please please please. Hahahahaha.

Okay yay gonna fix the ending of this one someday but right now - I'm sleepy like super kk goodnight.

Flaws and Imperfections ♥

Are the things every girl in the world has to accept and love about themselves.♥
Because believe me - no one else in this world besides your mom, dad, brother, sister, and God are gonna love you and your flaws even if you yourself notice it more than how perfectly beautiful you really are. I don't know if that even sounded right at all. Anyway, point is - learn to love yourself first.♥

I've blogged about taking selfies before and what reason it is I have for frequently doing it.

Okay let's cut to the chase - I am a person who has so much physical flaws. Like SERIOUSLY WHY CAN'T I BE PERFECT. (hahahahahahaha no kidding)

I can't say I have a lot of breakouts - because it's barely a "breakout" if pimples have been a part of your life. I have got to admit that I am so conscious about how UNflawless I am. I just try my best to carry myself the best way possible (I can think of hahaha_. My pimples have never left my face since puberty stage. At one minute they're on this area - the other - they've just changed location. WHY CAN'T THEY JUST LEAVE - okay let me tell you WHY - because I have a freakin' hormonal imbalance. So no matter how early I sleep, no matter how I avoid oily food, no matter how I avoid dirt outside, no matter how many dermatologists I've seen - nothing would work for my face because what needs to be cured is my hormonal imbalance.

I am EXTREMELY irregular when it comes to my monthly thingamabob. Just recently, I was so near to not having my period for two months. And now that it has arrived - it's still acting weird. I can't explain in full detail since that's obviously TMI for you guys.

I've been given pills (yes, contraceptive pills) for my hormonal imbalance - but I eventually stopped taking it when I read that long list of possible side effects. I took it for a month - and then when I had a new pack for the next month, that's when I started reading all about it. It creeped me out. :( I got so scared. So I decided to stop. Maybe I'll go see another doctor regarding this issue with me and my hormones :(
I have pimples on my face, and my upper back, and shoulders. If I dint have that much physical flaws - I'd always be wearing sleeveless clothes or tube dresses even. Soon - I suppose.

My nose is not as pretty as my sister's, or my brothers', or my dad's, or my mom's. I don't know what went wrong with my nose but I've eventually learned to love my nose as it is. HAHAHAHA. BUT EXCUSE ME - I'm not "pango" - I just have a big nose. People who are "pango" don't got a bridge on their nose. Hahahahahaha

I have big feet. Like wide feet. I should normally fit into a size 5-6 but due to my wide feet, I wear shoes in sizes 6,7, or 8.

I have scars on my legs. One was from an operation (when a cyst had to be removed from my leg) and then the other scars were due to my falling into manholes. I've already fallen in twice. But one for each leg - from two different times. HAHAHAHAHAHHAnotthatfunnytho hahahahaha.

kkk di ko na kaya to be continued guys gnight

Jingle Junkie, Juggle Juggle Me ♥

Gosh I've been so busy lately and I haven't had time to blog, write anywhere, or to even continue reading the book I've been reading!! I'm not complaining - believe me. I'm just stating facts. Huhu (now maybe the huhu part's a bit of complaining hahahaha) Anyway, I just wanted to take a break tonight - from everything and just be able to I don't know - be with myself maybe? Haha. I'm already laying in bed and I am physically and mentally and a bit emotionally exhausted. YES - I am :( I shouldn't be - really. But I've just had so much in my mind lately and whenever I run to God and talk to Him at night or whenever - I can't help but cry and cry and cry huuuhuuuu. There's been so much inner crying lately that only God has heard of.

And then I end up crying more when the answers start kicking in and God just tells me "My princess, things will be okay. Trust Me." At first, everything feels so heavy and then later on - when you just let go and let God - the feeling starts to double in weight and then poof - it's gone.

Okay enough about the drama - I've been doing great nonetheless. Like - if I don't really focus on the bad things that happen daily - life is still so great! Like - really. I still appreciate having have watched About Time - and since then I've been more mindful of everyday life.

I've just created another Instagram account! This time it's much more personal. TEEHEE. I guess the way it's gonna be different with my other personal account is that - this time it's where I'll really blog of I can't blog. I mean - it's only IG I have left that's actually updated - so I thought of using that as my new platform instead. Well of course I'm not replacing you - it's just that I think I need to make blogging a regular thing so that I could really keep track of the things going on in my life.

And again with regards to my @saraharrogante on Instagram - that one's a bit public already. It's like my other version of Facebook where a lot of people I know personally follow me/follow me back. I don't know why I have this thing about privacy from people I know personally and that different kind of being free and open to complete strangers.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before - but I just think that there's this thing with being comftable with strangers with regards to secrets and things which are more personal - it's like telling a stuffed toy - you know that the only other people who are gonna know about your secret are the other stuffed animals...just like that of a complete stranger - who else is gonna know about you and your secrets? It's just him/her (stranger) and his/her fellow stranger friends who are gonna know about you - and how big is the chance they'd even talk about you anyway? Get it, get it? Hahaha.

REEEEEECAAAAAP of my highlights

Um um um

Haven't blogged about my HASHTAG BEST BIRTHDAY EVAHH, and then my mini dates with my special lovelies, and then work (gosh when will I ever have time to ever blog about thatttttt), and then Valentine's, and then um. I guess that's just about it? Yup those are the ones I should really blog about HUHU I hope I still remember every detail ._. Well I guess so if they're really really good memories hihihihihihi.

Okay wait I'll have another blog post but this time I have something else to focus on.

WOOP two posts in one night yeah

Then I'm off to sleep hahahahaha longgg day tomorrow yesssss

About Time ♥

If you don't want having movies spoiled for you, please skip this post and just just don't read. HAHAHAHAHA.

I've recently watched the film. And I loved every bit of it. I suppose I've watched the trailer before - but I can't really recall what it was all about. It took a pretty long time before there was finally a free download of it on yify. I was so ecstatic when it came out! And finally, finally, finally! :)

So it was the other day that I actually watched the film. Wednesday morning if I remember correctly.

I cried a lot of times! Both for really good and slightly sad reasons. HAHAHA. And YES, I would love to tell you all about it. Hopefully, hopefully! This time (this year) - I'll be able to blog more about the films I either loved or completely wasted my time with.

And as I tell you the reasons why I love the film so much, I'll be showing screenshots too.
"She was then and still is to me - about the most wonderful thing in the world." this line touched my heart like a huge bang. It felt so warm to hear it - and know how of all creations it was his little sister he found the most wonderful thing in the world.♥ It was just. I don't know. Such a remarkable line to start the movie with. I mean - I was already hooked when I saw the weird-looking leading man and how the feel of the movie seemed like but really - this line got me tuned much much more.

I really loved how the movie began. I loved how every character was described in a way that it's as though it's very personal and very heartfelt. I loved how their family was peculiar and strange and in a really good way - I suppose I love it because it closely resembles my family - how weird and homy my family is and can be - and probably because of the setup of the place, their home itself - and how they were all so close with each other.

Next scene I'm gonna show you is ...
I just loved how they had stuff they regularly did as a family. This one in particular though. And I loved how even when it rained - they didn't pause the film or rush inside - they were all just so chill and just opened their umbrellas. And Katy just enjoyed the film and the rain all together. :)

Eventually, Tim finds out he's a time traveller. Let's skip his first love which I'm not really into hahaha just because she's the typical first love - pretty and seems as though she's got the whole package but then in all reality she's just gonna break your heart. Hahahaha but seriously though. Watch it then let me know if you thought Tim and her was a possibility.

I did love though how he used his gift into travelling back in time and just being cool with putting lotion on her back HAHAHAHA. Cutie.

When he was already in London, there was this scene that I admired. It was so true.
This DOES happen. How in a crowd of thousands - I don't know. It just really wasn't his time to meet her yet. He walks with a sea of girls surrounding him but still end up walking with Rory. In a crowd of so many people - I strongly believe that you'll notice someone and that someone's going to notice you back. I'm not sure though if under what circumstances - but really - it's gonna happen when it's supposed to I guess.

Then let's jump to that night he first meets the love of his life, Mary.

I love how their first meeting wasn't really their first "meeting". They got to talk and get to know each other first - and you could just hear in their voice that they were attracted to each other. In between those simple questions and answers and giggles and laughs and how he fed her eye instead of her mouth - that was really cute. Really cute. THEN comes the time to meet each other. It was cute because the writer didn't use the social media - everything was in it's natural way (besides the time travelling part, I know HAHAHA). They could've met online or just gotten each other's number from somewhere - but no! They met in a restaurant - as complete strangers - brought together by fate - AND in a restaurant that was completely dark. Incredible. Really. Smart move, writer! High five!

So then they meet each other. And nevermind how he looked at Mary. It was like love at first sight. It was like when he saw her - he JUST KNEW THAT THIS WAS IT.

And then he starts complementing her. Which was so awkward and cute. Hahaha.
I just love how she smiles like that. I see myself. (OP. HAHAHA. But really, who doesn't love receiving complements! I honestly do! Most of all when they sound so sincere and you could just see it in his eyes how much he means it that you do look great nonetheless. AAAAAGH. HAHAHAHAHA sorry, sorry. The typical "Oh stop it you." My braincells are seriously spazzing right now. HAHAHAHA.
And this shot of Rachel McAdams in every film - wherein she smiles as she looks back - how can a guy not skip on his way home after that?? AAAAAAGH. I mean, I can't wait to do so to a guy - look back like that HAHAHAHAHAHA yes I know I'm cute. No.
It just sent Tim skipping on his way home. Floating on air - in love as fuck. HAHAHAHAHAHA. SO CUTE. THIS SCENE. REALLY. WHY. And about this - I was really getting all jittery already and my face was indescribably happy HAHAHA my smile was so huge because for so many times recently - I just found myself as high as Tim. (Thanks, Pops. You just know it.♥)

For some reason - because he traveled back in time to help fix his friend's life - he lost Mary's number. He went back to the place they first met - but then Mary and her friend dint leave a number. He felt so sad and helpless. :( But then. He saw on the newspaper (or magazine?) that there was this exhibit about Kate Moss! (He was paying attention HIHIHIHIHIHI) He remembered how gaga Mary was over Kate Moss and went there. Stayed there for days in the hopes of seeing her again.

Somehow I thought to myself - does this man still exist? Who goes through all that effort - to go to an exhibit you're not personally in to - but just to see the girl you like - you sit and wait FOR HOURS - FOR DAYS. I just couldn't believe it. But it makes me hopeful, really. :)

I cried on this part. HAHAHAHA. Because I then again had the question WHY. :( How come. How come I wasn't ever worth this much to someone. Tim barely knew Mary - but he was DYING TO KNOW HER MORE - so he was willing to do that much and go that far - just to meet her again - even if it meant it was HER FIRST time to meet him.

It was just this kind of love that was still so dumb and highly infatuated. It was mad and it was crazy and it was stupid. Nonetheless - I don't give a fucking damn - his efforts paid off. And he saw her.

And then afterwards - when he finally met her - BAM. She was already taken! And it was so cute how persistent he was in getting her - in making her HIS girl.

He had that chance to travel back in time - and meet her before she met the "not so good" guy she was already with. I was supposed to say "jerk" but the appearance of the dude dint last long so who am I to judge him HAHAHA.

Many of us - well I personally - based on experience ... with my ex, whenever we'd just talk - I'd tell him that I wish I met him before I met my ex - but then comes all the other thoughts - if I did meet him before my first ex - I was much much younger then. I knew nothing about love or relationships. Yeah I'm saying this now because if today I admit that I'm still in baby steps even after all the relationships I've been in - I'd much say that back then - who was I to say that IF I DID meet him before the first guy I've been with - who am I to say that WE COULD'VE WORKED OUT? Okay I'll explain all these later on. HAHAHA. Moving on with the movie.

When he saw her again ...
It was as though it was his first time to ever see her. It's like everytime he sees her - it's as though he always figures out what it was he's been searching for for so long. It's like always a moment of awe - when he sees her. Still dumbfounded. Still amused. It's as though she's the most beautiful being he's ever seen.

And that night - he tried to win her heart again. Ohhhh these love stories. AAAAGH.

I guess another reason why I love the film so much is because I love weird, dorky, and awkward guys and for some reason Mary reminds me of myself. How equally awkward I am - really - and how I'm such a huge homebody. And I hate parties. I hate huge crowds. I hate clubs. I hate gatherings. Maybe not hate - but I'm not really fond of them. I don't like having to create small talk with people I know I'm not really interested in. And it's such a rare occasion that I would be the first one to approach you - unless it's my event or somewhat my territory. Hahaha. So in parties - if it wouldn't be rude to actually read a book in a corner - I would much much prefer that (drinking booze as I drink doesn't sound bad either).
Just look at the way he smiles - they seem so perfect for each other (in the movie though hahaha because I'll always ship Rachel and Ryan foevs hihihi).
So they went out for dinner - and obviously from then on they've been together. AAAAGH.
I loved this scene because it's already been their usual day to day thing - to pass by the subway then part ways. And then there was this moment wherein he ran back to have another kiss goodbye. I loved how they used the subway to show the transition of time. :) So good. Well done, director. :)

And then comes the time Mary's parents decided to come over. HIHIHIHIHI.
This scene was so cute too! Because I loved how I could perfectly understand Mary. How she could uncontrollably talk about him and speak for him simply because she wants her parents to like him too. I know that when I want my parents to like the guy I like - I talk so much about him and just keep on building him up. *girls* HAHAHA.

I also loved how when she told him to change his pants because her folks were conservative, he said nothing - dint complain either - nada. I appreciate how things were that easy between the two of them. He could've gone like "But this is how I dress up/but this is who I am/why do I need to compromise that for them/you" (probably because based on my experience - it's so hard to explain that I want my family to accept the guy because I really know how observant they are of how a guy carries himself. I can only do so much to build him up before they actually meet but when they're already face-to-face, I can't speak for him because my parents would really make me shut up and speaking for the guy wouldn't help him be liked by my parents even more SMH hahahaha.)

Then in the middle of such a great story - then comes the part wherein all this could go into ashes - Tim bumps into his "first love".

I love how they didn't kiss for no reason or to even check if he still had feelings for her. What happened was clean and really wouldn't give me any reason to judge Tim just to be like any other douche. That time when they were already in front of his "first love's" door to where she was staying, thoughts came rushing in my mind wondering if he would even go in or allow more temptation to kick in and then runaway after or kiss or if they would do anything at all - I was thinking of how he'd try to even get out of it. I mean, he had the power to go back in time right? He could've done anything. But he didn't. Because probably, no matter how much he'd turn back time the things he's done can never be erased. So again - I love how this doesn't seem like the cliche movie that has to undergo that drama.
Anyway, he just left the girl and ran back home. Right then and there he just knew what he wanted. He wanted to marry Mary! HIHIHIHIHI. Coming from a person who prefers a proposal that was well thought of and planned beforehand - I also accept how some things are already there - the things that are already understood. I mean - he seemed so sure about marrying her - so why not just shoot and ask? He obviously loved her well enough to know when to run away from that girl he was with and knew "Nope. I'm serious with Mary. And she's the only girl I'll ever want and love. So I'm going now and make sure she marries me." (he dint say that but obviously that's what ran through his mind. HAHAHAHAHA hashtag assumer :)) )

Okay jump to the moment Mary's to meet Tim's family.
Tim's mom: And what are your faults? I mean, little weaknesses.
Mary: Ohh. Uhh. I .. uhh.. Well I'm very insecure.
Tim's mom: Sweet.
Mary: Okay. I ... I have a very bad temper sometimes.
Tim's mom: Crucial. How else are you gonna get a fella to do what you want.
Mary: Oh and of course I have um .. I have a weakness for your son.
Tim's mom: So do I. But best not to tell him. Don't want him getting cocky.
Tim: What do you think of her?
Tim's dad: I like her more than you already.
I think that when the guy you're about to marry has really good family ties, getting you into the family wouldn't be that hard. Like if he's a really good son, a really good brother - there's no doubt that his parents wouldn't trust his judgement about the girl he'd ever decide to marry. If his parents would feel as though they've raised their son good enough, then his decisions in life would be easy to trust as well.

I just loved how much Mary was very much welcomed into Tim's family. It's a bit of a heartbreak to think that in my past relationships, I had to work my way up into their families' hearts. My first months or first meetings were dreadful because I could just feel how much I wasn't wanted to be with their sons. I don't know if it was because I was their sons' first girlfriend ever/the first girl they'll ever have to introduce to the family/I just wasn't cut out to fit into the picture they've envisioned for their sons' life.

I don't think it's the latter part though. HAHAHAHA. In the long run, I just love how much I felt loved by their families. Like really - in the long run I eventually felt as though I'm a part of them as well. It was even cute how the other family tells me that "he's not your loss". And so did the latter relationship - told me the same thing.

I hope that someday, when I finally get to meet a guy's family, it wouldn't feel like "the first meeting" because it's like we both (me and his family) know so much about each other already because when he's with them he'd probably say so much about me already and when with me, I'd know so much about them as well.

I love how a guy talks so much about his family. More over, you'll know how good a man's going to be to you based on how he treats and talks about the women in his life - his mom and his sister/s. I don't really mind marrying a mama's boy - those have good points too you know. And he was his mom's first and he always will be. I don't mind that he treats his mom a queen and me his princess or something like that. But you probably get the point so.

Oh oh here's a cute part too.
I mean, they obviously sleep together already - but to see the look on his face? To see how he's still excited about her as though he's never seen her naked yet - it was just so cute! And seemed so genuine and so in love. I love how all throughout the entire film - how in love they were with each other never seemed to deplete. Yeah I know that couples go through rough times and all - but it doesn't always have to be shown in the movies. And that's why I love this movie too. How I already know stuff of how love works - and this movie doesn't change a thing but give me more hope that this kind of love can still exist.

If you know me well enough, you'd know that I love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind so so much. It's the tragic kind of love story that's honest to the core but in a way was shown artistically and creatively and in other forms. It was a sad, sad, sad film. But About Time was such a feel good kind of film. So - it just made me really happy and sad (for my own silly reasons). A total must watch even though I've probably told you all about it already. HAHAHAHAHA sorry :p

Then came their wedding day. HIHIHIHIHIHI.
Their wedding was so cute! So colorful and light and just so refreshing this wedding was. It happened in a church but they so cutefully (damn that word doesn't even exist HAHAHAHA) decorated it and oh the song that played as she walked down the aisle - I think that's what adds up to the magic of the whole ceremony. How in these ways you make your wedding your own.

There's this line from Shawshank Redemption which I really loved so much.

The exact same reason why I love Sigur Ros a lot. I may not understand the words they've used - but it felt so deep that it communicates to and through my soul as though it completely understands what I need to feel and hear. So I suppose that for Tim and Mary to pick this Italian guy to sing at their wedding is quite a really great idea.
Just look at how he is.
It's just written all over his face! "Thank God we're getting married. Thank God I'm getting married to her." It's just - so amazing. Perf casting, perf everything. This film was so well done.
And again that laugh. HIHIHIHIHIHI. And I loved how even if she wore a red gown - she still looked so decent and respectable and classy. Rachel McAdams you are ♥.
And then Tim dances to the song.
And so does his father. HIHIHIHIHI. Such cuties.
I love that whatever the weather - nothing could ever stop them from experiencing such a great kind of love. Nothing could ruin their day. Not this day, at least. :')
Tim: Would you have wished we picked a less wet day?
Mary: No, no. Not for the world.
Tim: No one could ever prepare you for what happens when you have a child. When you see the baby in your arms and you know that it's your job now. No one can prepare you for the love and the fear.
Tim: No one can prepare you for the love people you love can feel for them.
Tim: And nothing can prepare you for the indifference of friends who don't have babies.
Tim: Suddenly time travel seems almost unnecessary because every detail of life is so delightful.

Okay let's skip the rest of what happens next. And end this real quick. HAHAHA. Or not.

Something bad happens to Kitkat.
Tim: We have to do something to fix it.
Mary: Yeah. But you know, if it's gonna be fixed, I think she has to do it herself.
Tim: My darling, what happened? You're the best person in the world. (then something I can't understand) I don't get it?
Kitkat: Maybe, just maybe - I'm the faller? Every family has like someone who falls. Who doesn't make the grade - who stumbles. Your life trips up, maybe I'm all falling.

I love how Tim really loves his sister wholeheartedly and he was actually willing to risk so much time-travelling collateral damage possibilities just to make sure her life turns out real well.

Blahblahblah.

They have another child. HIHIHI.
And then one time, Mary asked for Tim's help in picking out an outfit. It was just so adorable how girls really have a hard time when picking out an outfit and then in the end end up with their first choice. HAHAHAHA. Tim has always been so patient with her - which was really really good.

And then his dad gets sick.

Probably the last thing that made me cry a lot was when (oh wait. Two last things I think. HAHAHAHA)

One, when it was the last time he could be with his father - they time traveled together. And his dad took him out onto a really fine day back when he was still a little boy. I think that when someone's dying, it doesn't necessarily mean that we need to be able to time travel to have that peaceful feeling before we go - but rather we'll always have those memories with us - and these memories are those that will keep us calm and happy and make going away bearable because the life you've lived was a good one.
Two, was that last thing his dad taught him. That the true key to happiness in life is about noticing. His dad told him to travel back in time - but this time, Tim should take time to actually notice the small details and even the big ones of course.

It made me realize that we all live in such a fast-paced manner and we barely take time to pause and appreciate how good everyday really is.

I've of course have really shitty days - but there too have been days wherein whenever something turns out awful first thing in the morning, I just keep hoping that later on there'll be something better. And then comes another awful event during the day - but you can't let that bring you down too. Instead you just hope that the day can't end without something amazing lighting it up. It's really in how ... we all go through everyday, really. It's in our way of thinking that makes things bearable. It's in how we let things go and leave (or better yet LIFT) them all up to God and know that He knows best.

The last few things Tim said about time-travelling were really good too.

But here are a few more screenshots from the film.
This scene next scene was so cute because it showed how he took time to really appreciate. He could've just dropped her off then headed to work - but now. He stayed until probably when she's already gone into class. She looked back a couple of times, and he was still there - smiling and waving back. Now that's just love, right? And that right there was just magical.

Sorry for ruining the movie, guys. HAHAHA. But really. You should take time to watch it. I loved every bit of it. :')

I'm the worst person to ask how the movie was. I view films so differently. It's always in a deeper sense - plus the technicality of the entire thing. HAHAHAHA. The shots, the feel, the treatment, the angles - heck everything. The casting, the chemistry - really.

So here's my very first post for the year. HAHAHA.

Till my next post,

Ciao x :p
